Sony Xperia 5 V Price and Specification
In a brief yet impactful product launch, Sony has officially introduced the Sony Xperia 5 V to the world. This latest addition to the Xperia series comes with a larger primary camera sensor but makes a calculated sacrifice by bidding farewell to the telephoto camera. The Xperia 5 V is set to retail at €999/£849.

Continuing the legacy of its predecessors, the Xperia 5 V maintains a compact form factor while packing a punch in terms of hardware. One of its standout features is the 6.1-inch FHD+ 120Hz 21:9 OLED display, providing users with a stunning visual experience. Under the hood, it’s powered by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance.
The most significant change in the Xperia 5 V lies in its rear camera system. Departing from the triple-camera setup of its previous generation, Sony has opted for a new dual-camera configuration. Despite bidding adieu to the telephoto camera, Sony has replaced it with a much larger 1/1.35-inch 52MP sensor, borrowed from the flagship Sony Xperia 1 Mark 5. This impressive sensor can capture 12MP images in a 24mm format while still supporting a 2x zoom at 48mm. The secondary camera is an ultra-wide-angle sensor with 12MP and a 1/2.5-inch sensor size, offering a focal length of 16mm for stunning wide-angle shots.

Photography enthusiasts will also appreciate the Xperia 5 V’s other features, such as its 5,000mAh battery capacity and 30W wired fast charging. With the ability to charge 50 percent of the battery in just 30 minutes, you won’t have to wait long to get back to shooting. Additionally, the device comes equipped with front-firing stereo speakers, delivering impressive audio quality, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who prefer wired audio connections.
Sony’s Xperia 5 V blends powerful hardware with a compact design, making it an enticing option for those who value both portability and photography prowess. With its revamped camera system and impressive features, it’s poised to capture the attention of tech enthusiasts and mobile photography aficionados alike.
