According to information revealed by source, Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 specifications contain a “1+3+4” octa-core design, with the “1” being the massive Cortex X1 with 2.84GHz, which offers 23 percent higher peak performance than the Cortex A78. The three performance cores feature Cortex A78 with 2.42GHz clock speed and the four energy-efficient cores are using Cortex A55 with a clock speed of 1.8GHz. For graphic Processing, Snapdragon 875 uses in house designed Adreno 660 GPU.
Talking about Samsung’s Exynos 2100, it also uses the same 1+3+4 design using the same core one Cortex X1 + three Cortex A78 + four A55 core. Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 2100 difference is the clock speed of cores. Snapdragon 875 uses 2.84Ghz × 1 + 2.42Ghz × 3 + 1.8Ghz × 4; while Exynos 2100 brings slightly higher clock speed 2.91Ghz × 1 + 2.81Ghz × 3 + 2.21Ghz × 4. Samsung Exynos 2100 GPU is Mali-G78, the number of GPU cores is yet unknown.
Huawei Kirin 9000 is already in the market with Mate 40 Pro and a higher version. Kirin 9000 uses 1 × Cortex A77 @ 3.13Ghz + 3 × Cortex A77 @ 2.54Ghz + 4 × Cortex A55 @ 2.04Ghz and Mali-G78 MP24 GPU. The big core is one generation old but the 5nm process, Huawei’s algorithms, and high clock speed make it competitive.
