Today, AnTuTu has released its Android phone performance list for October 2020. The newly released Huawei Mate 40 Pro unexpectedly topped the list, scoring higher than all Snapdragon 865 models.
October Top 10 Android Flagship List
The list shows that the average score of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is 685339. AnTuTu said that this is not the best performance of the machine part of the Mate 40 Pro running score of 720000 above, and part of the 720000 below, the reason for such a difference is the performance mode on or not. Turning on the performance mode and then running the score is the only way to make the most of the phone’s performance.

The iQOO 5 Pro is now in second place with a score of 663,979. iQOO 5 is in third place with a score of 663,767. Vivo X50 Pro+, Redmi K30S Supreme Commemorative Edition, Xiaomi Mi 10 Supreme Commemorative Edition, ROG Gaming Phone 3, Legion Gaming Phone Pro, Tencent Black Shark Gaming Phone 3S, OPPO Find X2 Pro are top ten lists.
It can be seen that except for the Mate 40 Pro, which is equipped with a Kirin 9000, the top ten of the Android phone performance list is monopolized by the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865 Plus models. At this point, the Kirin 9000′s overall performance is better than that of the Snapdragon 865/865+, which will have to wait until the Snapdragon 875 is released in December to turn the tables.
As for the subscore, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a CPU score of 189,212, and on paper, the Kirin 9000 uses a large 3.13GHz A77 core, which is even higher than the Snapdragon 865 Plus, so the theoretical data exceeds the Snapdragon 865 Plus. (Enable performance mode can break 190,000)
The Mate 40 Pro has a GPU score of 283283, and the Kirin 9000 is integrated with Mali-G78, with the cores stacked to 24, directly up to the upper limit supported by G78, which is almost a quantum leap from the previous generation, and the biggest upgrade to the Kirin 9000. (You can exceed 300,000 by enabling performance mode)
MEM scores are worth talking about, the average score alone exceeded 120,000, the highest running score among the top ten models, the Mate 40 Pro is said to use UFS 3.1 flash memory, but Huawei made adjustments, equipped with a new memory expansion technology, dynamic packet compression, official data shows that the same 8GB of memory, the Mate 40 Pro in the application background an average number of caches to raise 50% more, almost comparable to 10GB of RAM.
October Top 10 Android Mid-range List
Next is the mid-range Android phone performance list, the top ten are 5G mobile phones, and at the same time equipped with Qualcomm, MediaTek, Kirin models are on the list, more diversity. The first one is the Redmi 10X series, with an average score of 398483 and 393622, which shows that there is no big difference in the performance of the two.

The third-place model is the Honor 30, with an average score of 387136, equipped with the Kirin 985, again, considering the Kirin production restrictions, Kirin 985 is positioned in the high-end, compared to the Kirin 820 performance improvement is not much, but can not beat the Kirin 990, perhaps it may be difficult to see the new machine equipped with Kirin 985.
In terms of comparing the subscores, the Kirin 985 and the Dimensity 820 are nearly identical, ahead of the Kirin 820 and the Snapdragon 765G, but there aren’t many new phones with both, presumably due to cost issues.
4-10 in order are Huawei Nova 7, Huawei Nova 7 Pro, Honor X10, Honor 30S, Huawei Nova 7 SE, Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition, and OPPO Reno4 5G with Kirin 985/820 and Snapdragon 768G/765G chips respectively. Of course, other brands will not stop the upgrade pace, Qualcomm and MediaTek’s 5nm SoC is believed to have been in the planning, is expected to change the flagship phone performance ranking.
