Leveraging the 6nm process technology, the chip offers a 30% increase in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor. This improvement in power consumption, combined with the newly designed multi-concurrent AI sense-ISP architecture and second-generation FIT interconnection system, leads to a significant enhancement in algorithm effectiveness. Furthermore, the flexible deployment of algorithms enables seamless integration between the Vivo V3 chip and the SoC, resulting in a 20% reduction in image processing time.

Multi-ALD technology with ZEISS T* Coating

To complement the Vivo V3 ISP chip, Vivo has joined forces with ZEISS, renowned optics experts, to develop groundbreaking imaging technologies. Among these advancements is the Multi-ALD technology, which equips the next generation of X series flagship models with ZEISS T* coating. This coating significantly reduces lens reflectivity, resulting in clearer and higher-performing images. In the visible wavelength, the center reflectivity is reduced from 0.2% to an impressive 0.1%. Compared to the previous ALC coating, this represents a 50% reduction in reflectivity, providing users with a superior visual experience.

Vivo Vario-Apo-Sonnar Telephoto Lens

Moreover, Vivo is also working with ZEISS to introduce the Vivo Vario-Apo-Sonnar Telephoto Lens, featuring the prestigious APO (apochromatic) design for exceptional chromatic aberration control. This pioneering application of apochromatic design to a mobile imaging system drastically improves zoom performance and image quality. The lens also incorporates Floating Lens Group technology, ensuring ultra-high resolution and focusing capabilities, enabling stunning macro shots and creamy bokeh effects.

Future Portrait: 3D Portrait Reconstruction

Beyond hardware advancements, Vivo is also making strides in computational photography and 3D imaging. The company’s 3D imaging laboratory in Chongqing has developed a film-level light field system capable of reconstructing “pore-level” 3D models of the human body. This breakthrough allows for highly realistic and immersive visual effects in virtual environments. Moreover, Vivo has stocked three major 3D perception algorithms that accurately capture and interpret facial expressions, human gestures, and gesture interactions.
