Nubia Z50S Pro Official Now
Nubia has officially released the Z50S Pro, a feature-packed smartphone that promises an outstanding photography experience. Boasting a unique calfskin etched glass body, a 35mm large bottom main camera beyond 1 inch, and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Leading Version processor, this phone aims to stand out in the highly competitive market. Let’s delve into the key highlights of the Nubia Z50S Pro, from its stunning display and design to its exceptional camera capabilities and powerful performance.
Display and Design:
The Nubia Z50S Pro sports a 6.78-inch centered single-hole straight screen, offering a smooth and natural transition between the center frame. The screen-to-body ratio falls within the normal level, and the straight-screen design adds extra durability compared to curved screens. Nubia has further improved the screen’s drop resistance by reinforcing the tempered glass with multi-layer depth.

The display itself is a masterpiece, thanks to BOE’s latest Q9 substrate and blue diamond arrangement. With a high resolution of 2800×1260p (1.5K), a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 2160Hz PWM eye protection high-frequency dimming, the screen provides a visually captivating experience. Additionally, the phone allows users to enable DC dimming in developer mode for further customization.

The back design of the Z50S Pro is equally impressive, featuring a large rear lens module with a circular Deco design. The centerpiece is the 35mm custom optical main camera, accentuated by Nubia’s classic red circle embellishments, evoking a professional camera’s appearance. The back cover adopts a unique calfskin glass process for Black and Khaki, offering a delightful tactile experience. For those who prefer a touch of luxury, Nubia also offers a special edition named “Mirror of Light,” featuring Italian “Carrara white” natural marble texture with nano-scale coating technology.
Camera:
The Nubia Z50S Pro’s main highlight lies in its custom optical main camera, boasting a 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor with a 1/1.49-1/1.56-inch outsole. Equipped with a 1G + 6P glass-plastic lens, OIS optical stabilization, a 35mm golden focal length, and a large f/1.59 aperture, this camera impresses with its light intake capabilities comparable to a 1-inch phone. Its physical focal length of 8.29mm rivals that of a typical one-inch camera, making it an excellent choice for imaging enthusiasts.
The ultra-wide-angle camera features an OV50D sensor with 50 megapixels and a 1/2.88-inch size, offering a 13mm focal length and a 125° ultra-wide field of view. The camera utilizes PureCel Plus-S wafer stacking technology, delivering 12.5MP high-quality interlaced HDR photos in quadruple.

Surprisingly, the Nubia Z50S Pro opts for an upright 8MP small telephoto lens (HI847) with OIS optical stabilization instead of a periscope telephoto lens. Despite this unconventional choice, the telephoto lens performs well with an equivalent focal length of 80mm.
Performance:
Under the hood, the Nubia Z50S Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Leading Version processor, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The CPU architecture consists of a 3.36GHz Cortex-X3 mega-core, two 2.8GHz Cortex-A715 cores, two 2.8GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and three 2.0 GHz Cortex-A510 cores. The phone offers impressive cooling with a 4233mm² VC cooling solution and comes in configurations up to 16GB RAM + 1TB ROM with USB 3.1 support.

Battery and Charging:
The phone packs a massive 5100mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. With a measured peak power of around 60W, the Z50S Pro charges from 0 to 100% in just 36 minutes, making it a highly efficient choice for users seeking extended battery life without compromising on charging speed.
