Samsung Galaxy Diamond
Earlier rumored that Samsung is working on three foldable including Galaxy Z Fold4, Flip4, and an unknown phone with codename “Diamond“. But will-known analyst Ross Young declined the rumor about Diamond.
Ross Young stated that Samsung’s Project “Diamond” is the Galaxy S23, and does not belong to a third foldable display phone. He further stated that internally upcoming Galaxy S Series emphasized as Galaxy S23.
As a usual practice, Galaxy S23 Series will be the annual flagship from Samsung and will equip with the next generation of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series processor – Snapdragon 8 Gen2 which will also power a large number of the flagship in 2023.
In addition, the recently announced Snapdragon X70 5G modem will also be integrated into Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. Snapdragon X70 is said to support 10Gbps 5G peak download speeds and also brings new advanced features such as the Qualcomm 5G AI Suite, Qualcomm 5G Ultra-Low Latency Suite, and Quad Carrier Aggregation.
Besides the integrated Snapdragon X70, Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will also be handed over to TSMC to deliver its anticipated power performance. The new Galaxy S23 Series will debut in the first half of 2023.
