Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 5G Modem
At MWC 2022, Qualcomm officially released Snapdragon X70 5G modem and RF system. The official said Snapdragon X70 in the modem and RF system to introduce the world’s first 5G AI processor, the use of AI capabilities to achieve breakthrough 5G performance, can provide 10Gbps 5G download speed.

Qualcomm said the Snapdragon X70 introduces the Qualcomm 5G AI suite, which is designed to optimize Sub-6GHz and millimetre-wave 5G links using AI to improve speed, network coverage, mobility, link robustness, and energy efficiency and reduce latency.
Snapdragon X70 supports all 5G commercial bands from 600MHz to 41GHz, offering global band support and spectrum aggregation, including the world’s first downlink quad-carrier aggregation across TDD and FDD spectrum, as well as millimeter-wave and Sub-6GHz aggregation.
The Snapdragon X70 also supports millimeter-wave independent networking, enabling mobile network operators (MNOs) and service providers to deploy fixed wireless access and enterprise 5G networks without the need for a sub 6GHz spectrum. In addition, the Snapdragon X70 features 5G multi-SIM for the global market with support for dual SIM, dual-pass (DSDA), and millimeter wave, among other features. Snapdragon X70 features a scalable architecture that supports the rapid commercialization of 5G Release 16 features through software updates.
Snapdragon X70 introduces the new 3rd generation Qualcomm 5G PowerSave, which combines a 4nm baseband process with advanced modem and RF technologies such as Qualcomm QET7100 wideband envelope tracking technology and AI-assisted adaptive antenna tuning to dynamically optimize transmit and receive paths across a variety of user scenarios and signal conditions, resulting in significantly reduced power consumption and extended battery life.

Qualcomm said Snapdragon X70 is expected to begin sampling to customers in the second half of 2022, with commercial mobile devices expected to be available later in 2022.
