Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Prototype Performance
Qualcomm held the Snapdragon Technology Summit 2021 on December 1, officially launching the new generation of Snapdragon flagship chip – Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile platform. At the same time, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 prototype is also currently on display in the exhibition area, and Qualcomm brought two more representative gaming experiences.
Qualcomm showcased the Genshin Impact (original God) 60 fps experience. There are almost no Android phones that can run Genshin Impact at 60 fps stably, and the phone’s processor can easily heat up and cause degradation lag.
According to the introduction, Snapdragon 8 mobile platform for CPU multi-threading, delayed rendering, and other aspects of optimization, reducing the power consumption of “Genshin Impact” 60 fps mode, improve the stability of the game frame rate.
In addition, Qualcomm also demonstrated the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 variable resolution rendering feature for Legacy of God of War. According to the introduction, variable resolution rendering can be deeply optimized for both full-screen anti-aliasing and screen blending, improving performance while reducing power consumption.
However, these are some of the effects shown by Qualcomm’s test machine, and the real experience of each cell phone manufacturer is still unknown.
