Humane Ai Pin Officially Unveiled
Humane technology company, a pioneering company in humane-centric tech, has unveiled its groundbreaking device, the Humane Ai Pin. This innovative screenless wearable aims to redefine personal technology, presenting a bold alternative to traditional smartphones.
Priced at USD 699 with a $24 monthly subscription fee for a T-Mobile phone number and data connectivity, the Ai Pin is designed to be an all-encompassing device, projecting a monochrome (green) user interface on the user’s palm via its “laser ink display” with a 720p resolution. This opens up possibilities for interactive gestures, voice commands, and features such as photo-taking, translation, and calorie recognition.
The device’s sleek design incorporates two breathing lights to alert users to incoming calls and messages, as well as indicating when the microphone and camera are active, prioritizing user privacy.
Humane emphasizes the unique COSMOS operating system of the Ai Pin, deliberately excluding third-party app support to focus on delivering an exclusive “artificial intelligence experience.” Humane acknowledges support from industry giants like OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Slack, and Tidal in developing the device’s capabilities.
Attaching effortlessly to clothing with a magnetic clip called the “e-booster,” the Ai Pin ensures all-day functionality with a replaceable battery pack built into the clip. The default package includes two battery clips, and three magnetic clips are available, although pricing for the additional clips remains undisclosed.
Under the hood, Humane Ai Pin boasts a robust set of specifications, featuring a 2.1 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, a 13-megapixel camera with a 120° field of view, and a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor. Equipped with ambient light, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, and GPS sensors, the device offers a comprehensive suite of functionalities. With 4GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and weighing in at just 34.2 grams, the Ai Pin strikes a balance between power and portability. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.1 and eSIM functionality, though it lacks support for Wi-Fi 6.
