XiaoAi Assistant’s Large Language Model Demonstration
Xiaomi has recently initiated testing for an updated version of its XiaoAi Assistant, which is built upon a large language model. The initial group of supported devices includes Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, Xiaomi 13/12 series, and Redmi K60/K50 series.
In Xiaomi’s introduction to the large language model-based XiaoAi Assistant, they highlighted the enhanced user experience derived from integrating the AI model. Apart from its newfound content generation capabilities, the system also exhibits a deep understanding of context, extensive knowledge of questions and answers, and the ability to process complex tasks through logical reasoning.
These enhancements enable the personal intelligent assistant to be more intelligent and better comprehend user needs. XiaoAi has also gained personalized creative abilities, allowing it to aid users in swiftly producing text and images whenever inspiration strikes.
To demonstrate the capabilities of this new version, Digital Chat Station shared a real-time demonstration video. The video features scenarios in which Digital Chat Station poses several questions to showcase the large language model’s prowess. The questions include tasks like writing code for the game “Snake,” composing a market analysis report based on first-half cellphone shipments, predicting the specifications of the Xiaomi 14, and determining who is smarter between Digital Chat Station and Xiaoyi.
As evident from the video content, the upgraded XiaoAi Assistant performs more consistently in generating relevant responses for the first two questions. However, when prompted to “predict the configuration of the Xiaomi 14,” the assistant navigates directly to a browser search page. Regarding the “who is smarter” question, XiaoAi’s response was, “Each possesses its unique cleverness; they can complement each other.”
