OPPO AndesGPT-Powered AI Assistant
Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo have all recently started focusing on developing large language-based AI assistants following the release of HarmonyOS 4‘s advanced AI assistant. OPPO, in particular, announced today their plans to launch a new AI assistant powered by AndesGPT, which will soon be available for a wide-ranging experience trial.
This enhanced AI assistant is expected to possess substantial capabilities from AI big models, showcasing an improved grasp of semantic understanding in dialogues. It can adeptly compose content based on user input and significantly elevate its AI-powered summarization skills.

AndesGPT, the generative large language model behind this initiative, has been crafted by the OPPO Andes Intelligent Cloud team using a hybrid cloud architecture. The team’s work began two years ago, focusing on developing pre-training language models for practical applications.
To strengthen AndesGPT, OPPO integrated Chinese conversation data continuous learning, precise command fine-tuning, human feedback reinforcement learning, and knowledge enhancement into the OBERT model training experience. This approach earned them a commendable fifth position on the C-Eval evaluation list in June of this year.
