Motorola Unveils Moto Razr 40 Series
Motorola recently unveiled its highly anticipated Moto Razr 40 series during a new product launch conference. The series consists of two heavyweight vertical foldable phones: the Moto Razr 40 Ultra and the Moto Razr 40. Let’s take a closer look at the features and specifications of these devices.
Moto Razr 40 Ultra:
One of the major highlights of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is its 3.6-inch outer screen, which is larger than the 3.5-inch screen of the iPhone 4. The external screen also boasts a remarkable 144Hz ultra-high refresh rate, surpassing the refresh rate of some flagship phones’ main screens. Moreover, the pixel density (PPI) of the external screen matches the internal screen at 413, and it supports DC dimming.

In terms of app adaptation, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra’s external screen is compatible with the top 50 mainstream apps, allowing users to fully utilize the external screen as the primary display.
The internal screen of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is a 6.9-inch OLED display that supports a dynamic 1-165Hz LTPO refresh rate, covering 123% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, offering 10-bit color depth, and supporting full DC dimming.

Under the hood, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, accompanied by LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash storage. It houses a 3800mAh built-in battery and supports 33W wired fast charging as well as 5W wireless charging.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 12-megapixel main camera with an f/1.5 aperture, a 13-megapixel macro/wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

Additional features of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra include the fourth-generation star-track hinge design with a folding life of 400,000 times. When unfolded, the device measures 6.99mm in thickness, while the folding body is 15.1mm thick. The weight of the phone is approximately 184.5g. It is available in three color options: peak elegant black, ice crystal blue, and magenta.

Moto Razr 40:
While the Moto Razr 40 may not offer all the high-end features of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, it stands out as the most affordable folding screen phone in the industry at just 3,999 yuan.

The Moto Razr 40 features a simple and compact folding design with a 6.9-inch LTPO adaptive high refresh rate main screen. It supports a 1-144Hz refresh rate switch, DC dimming, and HDR10+, and delivers an impressive small folding experience.

Unlike the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, the Moto Razr 40 does not include a large external screen, but it cleverly integrates a small screen into the rear camera module, which gives it a unique and stylish appearance. The back of the device features special effects like the elf clock, adding to its charm.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Moto Razr 40 boasts a 64-megapixel + 13-megapixel dual-camera module on the rear. This setup enables users to enjoy real-time selfie previews on the external screen while capturing more perfect selfies using the main camera. The front camera is a 32-megapixel wide-angle lens, ensuring high-quality selfies.
Powering the Moto Razr 40 is the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 mobile processing platform, coupled with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash storage. This configuration provides ample performance for everyday use, ensuring smooth multitasking and app performance.
One of the notable aspects of the Moto Razr 40 is its compact and lightweight design. Weighing only 188.6g, it is lighter than most mainstream smartphones, and when unfolded, it measures a slim 7.35mm in thickness. This makes it highly portable and easy to carry around.

The device packs a 4200mAh battery, offering sufficient power to last through a day of regular usage. It supports 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging, allowing users to quickly replenish the battery whenever needed. Additionally, it supports 5G dual SIM dual standby, NFC, and other essential features.
In terms of pricing, the Moto Razr 40 provides three different configurations to choose from. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 3,999 yuan, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at 4,299 yuan, and the top-tier 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at 4,699 yuan.
