Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2
As smartphones get bigger and heavier, durability becomes the primary consideration before purchasing a smartphone. Today, Corning released Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for better defense against the impact of drops or scratches on rough surfaces such as cement concrete or asphalt.
We challenged our scientists not only to create a glass composition that was durable enough to better survive drops from waist height onto rougher surfaces than asphalt but to improve cover-glass performance for larger and heavier devices.

According to Corning’s test results, a smartphone equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, 200g weight phone can withstand drops from a height of 1 meter onto a complex concrete surface and from a height of 2 meters onto an asphalt surface, with scratch resistance four times better than competitors.
Of the topic, we suggest do not test your phone at home, as no one guarantees 100% drop/scratch resistance, and damage you have to bear.
Currently, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is in the hands of many customers to verify the relevant end products, which will be launched in the next few months. Corning also revealed that Gorilla Glass has shipped a total of 8 billion devices to date, by more than 45 major brands.
