At today’s MediaTek Dimensity flagship strategy and new platform launch, its Dimensity 9000 was officially unveiled, the first domestic manufacturer’s OPPO equipped, while Redmi, Vivo announced the first batch of equipped.

The price of the Dimensity 9000 set is not cheap, even the positioning of that new machine of the Redmi K50 series is not low. The OPPO is even put directly into the top Find X Series product line, Dimensity 9000 + Snapdragon 8 Gen1 dual flagship platform + self-research NPU image chip. The Vivo iteration of the X Pro series is also the Dimensity 9000 + self-research ISP image chip.

At the end of the conference, MediaTek officially announced the Dimensity 8000 Series processor, note that it is a series, meaning that there is more than one, and the corresponding terminal will be available next year.

The name alone indicates that the Dimensity 8000 Series processor is positioned slightly lower than the Dimensity 9000, which is rumored to be a 5nm TSMC processor and belongs to the sub-flagship class.

Redmi/realme arrangement in terms of positioning, the Dimensity 8000 series is said to be mid-to high-end and will compete with the Snapdragon 870. According to the Digital Chat Station, the CPU part of the Dimensity 8000 consists of four 2.75GHz A78 + four 2.0GHz A55, and the GPU part integrates Mali-G510 MC6. Advanced features, the processor supports up to FHD + 168Hz or QHD + 120Hz screen, support LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1.

The news also points out that both Redmi and Realme cell phone manufacturers are currently polishing the Dimensity 8000, and the progress is still advancing, so it seems that the price/performance battle cannot be avoided.
