Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra May Miss 200 Megapixel’s Camera
According to the usual practice, Samsung may be one of the first manufacturers equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 processor, the first model of the processor for the Galaxy S22 series, and now the details of this annual flagship are being exposed one after another.
Previously rumored that Galaxy S22 Ultra will be equipped with an in-house developed 200 megapixel’s main camera, this might be going to Xiaomi’s flagship. Ice Universe broke the news that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will not follow up with 200 megapixels and will polish the third generation of 108 megapixels.
On the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung equips it with 108 megapixel’s HM3 sensor, which features Super PD Plus phase focus, adding a microlens above the phase focus point, thus increasing the focusing speed by 50%. From the information in the leak, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra may continue to use HM3 sensor, with new ISP and software algorithm tuning, its imaging performance is worth looking forward to.
It is worth noting that there is news that Samsung will cooperate with Olympus to create the Galaxy S22 series of images. Huawei has now been working with Leica for a long time, making Huawei phones top of the DxOMark ratings for a long time. OnePlus also started working with Hasselblad, which led to the OnePlus 9 series of phones.
Therefore, Olympus may also hand in hand with Samsung to improve the image performance of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series.
