In addition to the recently announced Exynos 1080, Samsung is also preparing another flagship SoC, named Exynos 2100, powered by the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, for the European market. Like the Snapdragon 875, the Exynos 2100 is also built on Samsung’s 5nm EVU process, making the production process almost identical.

Leakster, Ice Universe suggest that Exynos 2100 better than Snapdragon 875. “Don’t pay attention to the results leaked by Geekbench, it is usually not accurate before release, you only need to pay attention to the real specifications.” Said Ice Universe. The latest update says that the Exynos 2100’s CPU is based on the same “1+3+4” triple-cluster architecture as the Snapdragon 875, which consists of one Cortex X1 mega-core, three Cortex A78 cores, and four small cores.

Exynos 2100 vs Snapdragon 875

Unlike the Snapdragon 875, however, the Exynos 2100 has a higher CPU core frequency of 2.91GHz (Snapdragon 875 2.84GHz), 2.81GHz (Snapdragon 875 2.42GHz), and 2.21GHz (Snapdragon 875 1.8GHz) for the mega-core. In terms of CPU frequencies, the Exynos 2100 will theoretically have better performance, but will also consume more power, so does that mean the Exynos 2100 is better than the Snapdragon 875?

The Exynos 2100 will probably lag behind the Snapdragon 875 in terms of GPU, as Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU is almost the pinnacle of the Android lineup. As for when it will be available, previous disclosures indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is expected to launch in January 2021, with the Snapdragon 875/Exynos 2100-powered device.
