Lau’s teaser OPPO Find X7 image showcasing the “5GA” signal bar hints at a groundbreaking addition: support for 5G-A, also dubbed “5.5G” – a first in the industry.
But what exactly is 5G-A? It represents a significant upgrade to the existing 5G network, operating alongside it to meet the demands of advanced applications. With features like passive sensing, passive IoT, and endogenous intelligence, 5G-A is set to revolutionize connectivity, seamlessly integrating human, IoT, and vehicular connections. This next evolution promises a tenfold increase in network capabilities, with speeds reaching up to 10 Gigabit downlink + Gigabit uplink.
