Samsung and Google Unveil IAMF Audio Technology
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Samsung and Google jointly unveiled the Immersive Audio Model and Formats (IAMF), a cutting-edge 3D spatial audio technology poised to transform home entertainment. For instance, a viewer could hear the sound of a bird flying overhead through a television utilizing this groundbreaking technology.
IAMF’s AI-driven scene analysis leverages deep learning technology to emphasize essential components within content, such as background music, sound effects, or character dialogues in films or TV shows. Moreover, IAMF allows for audio customization, enabling users to tailor sound effects according to their preferences, whether focusing on scene sounds or character dialogues. For instance, during a soccer match, users can choose to emphasize either the commentary or the game sounds as per their preferences.
