Samsung Boosts Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Frequency to a Massive 3.40GHz

Reports indicate that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 Series is set to launch in January, a month earlier than its predecessors. What makes this launch particularly intriguing is the return of the Exynos chipset to flagship phones in specific regions, alongside the deployment of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 high-frequency version in other areas.

Recent leaks have showcased the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra sporting the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 high-frequency version clocked at an impressive 3.30GHz. However, Qualcomm surprised many by making this frequency the standard for the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen3, upgrading it from 3.2GHz to 3.30GHz.

In response to this move, Samsung took the challenge head-on and pushed the limits even further, increasing the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 frequency to a massive 3.40GHz. This achievement not only claimed back the title of the high-frequency version but will also be known as the “Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy.”

The validation of this upgrade was confirmed by a new listing of the Galaxy S24 Ultra on Geekbench, displaying a CPU frequency of 3.40GHz. This leap places Samsung ahead not only of the regular version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 at 3.30GHz but also exceeds its own Exynos 2400’s 3.21GHz maximum frequency and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 at 3.25GHz.

Furthermore, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy has seen an overclocked GPU frequency of 1000MHz, setting a new benchmark for processing power in the upcoming Galaxy S24 Series smartphones.

The anticipation is building as Samsung appears poised to redefine performance standards with the Galaxy S24 Series, promising a new level of power and capability that surpasses current industry expectations.
