Kirin 9000s CPU Details
In a remarkable comeback, Huawei is making waves in the smartphone industry this month with the revival of its Kirin chipset and the triumphant return of 5G capabilities on Huawei phones. This resurgence has ignited a frenzy among Huawei fans in China, eager to get their hands on the highly anticipated Mate 60 Series phones.
The revival of the Kirin Chip marks a significant milestone for Huawei, following the challenging period of the US ban. Previously, we attempted to decode the mysteries of the Kirin 9000s chip featured in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, but conclusive information remained elusive. Today, we delve deeper into the heart of the matter and unveil crucial insights into the Kirin 9000s CPU.
One of the most groundbreaking revelations is the implementation of a hyper-threading design with 8 cores and 12 threads in the Kirin 9000s CPU. This innovation represents a pioneering leap in the mobile industry, introducing hyper-threading to smartphones for the first time.
Our comprehensive research unveiled the following details about the Kirin 9000s CPU configuration:
- CPU 0 to CPU 3: Small cores, four cores, and four threads, clocking up to 1530MHz.
- CPU 4 to CPU 9: Medium cores, three cores, and six threads, with speeds reaching up to 2150MHz.
- CPU 10 to CPU 11: Super large cores, single core and dual threads, capable of running at speeds up to 2620MHz.

In performance mode, our GeekBench5 tests demonstrated that all 12 threads can reach their highest frequencies, with no core locking or frequency occupancy issues. It’s worth noting that benchmarking software limitations restricted our observations to CPU 0-7.

Huawei’s resurgence with the Kirin 9000s and the return of 5G connectivity marks a remarkable turning point in the smartphone industry. This innovative chip, boasting hyper-threading capabilities and a versatile core configuration, promises to deliver exceptional performance to Huawei’s loyal customer base.
As technology enthusiasts eagerly await the release of the other two Mate 60 Series, Huawei’s comeback is undoubtedly one of the most exciting developments in the world of smartphones this month.
