New Apple Watch Trio Upgrades
In an exciting development for Apple enthusiasts, renowned Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has unveiled exclusive details about the upcoming Apple Watch Trio in his Power On newsletter. According to Gurman, the tech giant is poised to release three new models this fall, including the eagerly anticipated Apple Watch S9 series – 41mm and 45mm and the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra.
Among the notable features is the significant performance boost expected in the Apple Watch S9 series, thanks to the upcoming S9 processor. While previous iterations, like the S8, may not have met performance expectations, Gurman confidently asserts that the S9 series will deliver the first substantial speed improvement since the popular Series 6 model.
Additionally, Gurman shared intriguing tidbits about the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra, revealing that it has been tested in a dark titanium version on an engineering unit. Though the option was initially dropped due to design concerns, it remains a possibility for the final product.

Currently, Apple’s flagship Apple Watch lineup includes the S8 series, introduced alongside the first-ever Apple Watch Ultra smartwatch. Powered by the S8 processor, the S8 series boasts regular upgrades with 41mm and 45mm dials, available in both aluminum and stainless steel cases. On the other hand, the Apple Watch Ultra features a 49mm titanium case and flaunts a flat sapphire crystal glass with an impressive 2,000 nits of screen brightness, waterproofing capabilities of up to 100 meters, and IP6X dust protection.
As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts and Apple fans alike eagerly await further details on the specifications of the Apple Watch S9 series and the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Gurman’s insights have undoubtedly set the stage for heightened anticipation and excitement as we inch closer to the official reveal.
