POCO F5 and F5 Pro
Xiaomi has recently introduced two new smartphones under the POCO sub-brand – POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro. Both of these phones have been launched globally after the successful launch of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Redmi K60 in China.
The POCO F5 Pro comes with a large 6.67-inch 3200×1440 resolution 120Hz AMOLED display, which boasts a peak brightness of 1400 nits. Additionally, it has a touch sampling rate of 480Hz, making it highly responsive to touch.
The phone also features three rear cameras – a 64MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP fixed focus ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.45 aperture.
The POCO F5 Pro is powered by TSMC’s 4nm-based Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip, which is a powerful processor that ensures a smooth and lag-free experience. The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The phone also has a 5160mAh battery that supports 67W wired and 30W wireless charging. The company includes a 67W charger in the box. The phone supports IP53 splash protection and stereo speakers and comes pre-installed with MIUI 14 running on Android 13.
On the other hand, the POCO F5 features a 6.67-inch 2400×1080 resolution screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz.
It also comes with three rear cameras – a 64MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP fixed focus ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is a 16MP shooter with f/2.45 aperture.
The POCO F5 is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 chip and comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. It has a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging. However, there is no wireless charging, and the company includes a 67W charger in the box. The phone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
In India, the POCO F5 is priced at INR 29,999 for 8GB + 256GB and INR 33,999 for 12GB + 256GB. It comes in Electric Blue, Blizzard White, and Charcoal Black color options. On the other hand, the POCO F5 Pro is available for $449 for 8GB + 256GB, $499 for 12GB + 256GB, and $549 for 12GB + 512GB.
