Snapdragon 8 Gen3 GPU Performance Exposure
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen3, the third generation of the Snapdragon 8 Series flagship platform, is expected to be officially released at the end of the third quarter at the earliest. With the success of its predecessors Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen2, there is a lot of anticipation surrounding the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and the kind of product power it will bring.
One of the major upgrades in the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is its GPU, which is rumored to be 50% more powerful than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen2 platform. This would be a significant performance improvement and would make it a tough competitor to Apple’s upcoming A17 Bionic processor that is expected to debut on the iPhone 15 Pro series. According to the report, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 GPU will be upgraded from Adreno 740 to Adreno 750, with a frequency of 770MHz~1GHz.

The Adreno 750 GPU is expected to bring some exciting features and capabilities to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 platform. With improved performance and speed, users can expect to enjoy smoother gaming experiences and faster video streaming.
Apart from the GPU, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 platform is expected to have a highly innovative CPU architecture. The internal model SM8650, codename Lanai, uses a “1 + 2 + 3 + 2” 8-core design, which is an unconventional design approach. The CPU is said to be the first pure 64-bit architecture design, which would make it highly efficient and powerful.
Overall, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is expected to be a highly advanced and innovative platform. With its upgraded GPU and highly efficient CPU architecture, it is likely to deliver significant improvements in performance and speed.
