The Rise of the Exynos 2400
Samsung Galaxy S23 Series has recently made a shift from using in-house developed Exynos chipsets to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2. However, the next iteration of Samsung’s flagship series, the Galaxy S24, is rumored to bring back the use of Exynos chipset, at least in some countries, including South Korea.
According to recent reports, the next Exynos chipset from Samsung, the Exynos 2400, will feature a 10-core design. The CPU is said to have a quad-cluster design, comprising one Cortex-X4, two Cortex-A720 (high frequency), three Cortex-A720 (low frequency), and four Cortex-A520 cores. The Exynos 2400 is expected to have a performance of 44 TOPS, which is close to the 45 TOPS of the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 4.

There is still some uncertainty regarding the manufacturing process that the Exynos 2400 will use. Rumors suggest that Samsung will utilize its 4LPP+ process, although it remains to be seen if the latest 3nm technology will be employed. Samsung is set to start mass-producing the Exynos 2400 in November 2023.
