Xiaomi Flip Camera Design Patent
For smartphone form, manufacturers make the exploration not uncommon, dual screen, sliding cover, and pop-up cameras were once quite popular, and earlier, OPPO had also explored the flip camera smartphone form. Today, the patent for “a mobile terminal with a flip camera module” was applied for by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co.
According to the abstract, this patent makes a unique flip camera module, in the normal state, the camera module is placed in the limit slot, no different from the conventional smartphone camera module.
But when needed, the module can be driven by the servo assembly to flip 90°, perpendicular to the back of the body, thus giving the whole module greater flexibility and enhancing the user’s photography experience.
Simply put, with this patent, users will be able to take pictures of objects at specific angles in the sky without having to adjust the angle of the phone itself, simply by having the camera flip over and be able to frame and take the picture without any problem.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi flip camera design patent is still in the public disclosure stage, and it will take time for the finished product to meet with users or maybe stay on paper only.
