Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will be released next month, and MediaTek’s rival competitor, the Dimensity 9200, will also debut at the end of November along with a powered phone with it.

The former’s debut model is expected to be produced before Moto and Xiaomi, while the latter, according to reports, will be debuted by the Vivo brand, with the debut model being the Vivo X90 Series.

Compared to the Dimensity 9000, the biggest change to the Dimensity 9200 is the replacement of the CPU part with the latest Cortex-X3 mega-core. As an upgraded version of Cortex-X2, Cortex-X3 has a lot of improvements in the overall architecture, the decoder is upgraded from 5 to 6 instructions per cycle, the chaotic execution window is upgraded from 288 to 320, and the integer ALU unit is upgraded from 4 to 6.

In terms of cache, Cortex-X3’s L2 cache capacity has also been increased from 512KB to 1MB, while the L3 cache capacity has reached 8MB. 25% performance improvement is expected compared to its predecessor and also greatly improves the energy efficiency ratio.

Today, Digital Chat Station also disclosed MediaTek Dimensity 9200 AnTuTu Benchmark running scores. According to test results, MediaTek Dimensity 9200 achieved an overall score of 1266102 points.

Specifically, Dimensity 9200 benchmark scores divided into four categories: CPU – 273413; GPU – 550767; MEM – 246809; and UX – 195113 points. The comprehensive score exceeded 1.26 million points, which is the highest 5G chip in the Android camp.

Dimensity 9200 uses the latest Immortalis-G715 GPU. The most important feature is the support of hardware-level ray tracing technology, which can improve performance by 300% compared to software-accelerated ray tracing. At the same time, compared to the previous generation Mail-G710’s overall performance is also improved by 15%, and power consumption has been reduced by 15%.
