Vivo X Fold Plus Design Unveiled
This month, Vivo’s next foldable phone is in a lot of rumors, earlier it is expected to be named Vivo X Fold S, but later sources claimed to be Vivo X Fold Plus. As the naming suggests, it is a small upgrade from the previous version.
Now, the Vivo X Fold Plus design has been unveiled through the network Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The foldable model number V2229A shows document photos, which now seem to maintain the appearance of the Vivo X Fold without making any adjustments, and shows a 4600mAh rated battery.
From the current information, Vivo X Fold Plus compared to Vivo X Fold seems to be only replacing Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. But considering the significant performance difference between the two chips, this approach is understandable, after all, Vivo X Fold has been the strongest folding screen of the year in terms of other configurations.
Referring to the Vivo X Fold, it is predictable that the Vivo X Fold Plus still piles on the material quite fiercely, not only do the internal and external screens are a 120Hz high refresh rate, but also follow the camera module of the Vivo X70 Pro+ which was previously considered to be the impact ceiling, even the periscopic telephoto will be retained.
In addition, Vivo X Fold Plus will carry dual screen fingerprint recognition, using an ultrasonic solution, compared to the side fingerprint experience will be much better, which is also safer and has a larger identification area.
The vivo X Fold Plus will also be equipped with a self-researched hinge called an aerospace-grade floating wing hinge, which uses six aerospace-grade materials such as liquid metal zirconium alloy, F53 aerospace high-strength steel, and carbon fiber plate, which can make the hinge better flatness, lighter weight, and more resistant to external impacts.
At present Vivo X Fold Plus has already obtained the entry permit, the model number is V2229A, and some sources say it will be officially announced on September 26, becoming the first Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 phone under the Vivo brand.
