Huawei Mate 50 Pro Spy Photo
Huawei Mate 50 Series has been officially determined to be released on September 6. After two years, Huawei’s Mate annual flagship came back, carrying a lot of expectations.
Day after the official announcement, a Huawei Mate 50 Pro spy photo circulated on the Weibo network, showing its camera specialties. The phone wears a thick confidential protective case, it seems to be a full camouflage.

The upper right corner is a variable aperture main camera, the upper left corner is super wide angle, the lower right corner is 3.5X telephoto, and the lower left corner is a ToF module. The final configuration is likely to be a circular module, just like previous case exposures. As for whether the camera will appear near the XMAGE instead of Leica, we still have to wait for the final version.
In terms of variable aperture camera, it has been absent from mainstream phones for some time, the most recent model is the Sony Xperia PRO-I, and the earliest is Samsung’s Galaxy S9.
Huawei earlier also submitted a patent called “aperture, camera module, and electronic device”, the patent shows that Huawei uses at least six aperture blades, these blades can slide with each other to form a larger/smaller aperture.
Huawei’s Mate 50 Series basically will not have a 5G version, the whole series only support a 4G network, but will be equipped with a 5G communication shell, and the processor will carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Series SoC, tuning will be better, can be said to be a small surprise.
