Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 Official Now
Long-awaited two foldable display phones from Samsung were finally officially announced on the evening of August 10th, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. Both foldable have their own identity and are equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Chipset.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 continues the previous foldable design, folding state at the edge of the thinnest 14.2 mm, the thickest 15.8 mm at the hinge, while the thickness of the unfolded state is 6.3 mm (Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is 5.4mm), but the weight is still very adequate, reaching 263 grams, and available in Phantom Black, Gray-green, and Beige.

Both the inner and outer screens are made of Dynamic AMOLED 2X, and both support a 120Hz refresh rate, with the outer screen at a minimum of 48Hz and the inner screen as low as 1Hz. The outer screen is 6.2 inches with a resolution of 2316 × 904 andSamsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 an aspect ratio of 23:1.98, while the inner screen unfolds to 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2176 x 1812 and an aspect ratio of 21.6:18.
Both the outer screen and the back cover of the body are covered with Corning Gorilla Victus+ glass, making it Samsung’s strongest folding screen product, and by optimizing the screen structure, the durability of the inner screen is enhanced to effectively resist external impact damage, the bezel and hinge cover is made of armored aluminum, and the whole machine also supports IPX8 water resistance.



For the inner screen upgraded multitasking, the new design of the taskbar layout is similar to a traditional PC, allowing easy access to commonly used and recently used apps. There is also a new gesture quick split screen, which allows you to open multitasking more intuitively and switch APPs from full-screen mode to pop-up view, or split the screen in two with gestures. The S Pen stylus is also further upgraded to optimize the multitasking experience and has a vertical case with an exclusive slot for easy access at all times.
In terms of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 camera, the main camera is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, 23% increase in light intake, OIS optical stabilization, 1.0-micron pixel, F1.8 aperture, PDAF focus, support 3 times optical zoom, 30 times spatial zoom; wide angle lens 12 megapixels, 1.12 micron, F2.2; and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, OIS optical anti-shake, 1.0 micron, F2.4, PDAF.
The top of the inner screen has an integrated under-display camera with a new scattered sub-pixel arrangement in the corresponding area for better concealment, 4MP, 2.0µm, F1.8.
At the core, the first to use Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor for the foldable, 12GB RAM as standard, onboard storage is 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, 4400mAh battery, 25W fast charging (30 minutes to charge about 50%), the operating system is pre-installed One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L.

In terms of pricing, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 price for 12GB + 256GB is 1,799 USD, 12GB + 512GB 1,799 USD (with limited promotional offer for storage upgrade), and 12GB + 1TB priced at 2,159 USD.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is a foldable flip phone as its name suggests, with some upgrades and some regrets, it is also loved the most. The phone is a little heavier than the previous generation, 183g now is 187g, but praised by 3700mAh larger battery pack, instead of 3300mAh of Flip3.

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 comes in the four characteristically stylish and versatile colors shown above, with a matte finish on the glass that contrasts softly with the high-gloss metal frame.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 features a 6.7-inch 2640 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate display with ultra-thin glass, and customizable 1.9-inch secondary screen with a resolution of 512 × 260p.
Strong enough even after 200,000 folds, while the back panel is made of hard-wearing Corning Gorilla Glass Victus + glass, and the frame is made of a light and strong armored aluminum frame construction that wraps around a precision hinge for tight protection.




Samsung specifically highlights software optimizations on the folding screen, including the fact that when folded 90 degrees, apps are separated on the top and bottom screens, with the lower part available for input, navigation, and other areas. Then there’s the external preview screen, which now supports direct phone calls, replies to messages, selfies, and more.
In terms of camera, The main camera is 12 megapixels, supporting OIS optical stabilization, the secondary is camera 12 megapixels ultra-wide angle, and inside the display, the 10-megapixel selfie lens is located in a punch hole.
It supports, 25W wired and 15W wireless fast charging, side fingerprint, and pre-installed OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12, unfolded size is 71.9 × 165.2 × 6.9mm and 17.1mm thick when folded. RAM is limited to 8GB only, while ROM goes up to 512GB.

As for the price, 8GB + 128GB Galaxy Z Flip 4 is priced at 999 USD; 256GB version priced at 1099 USD; 512GB memory version priced at 1179 USD.
