In today’s afternoon, Realme held a new product launch, officially bringing its first flagship for the second half of the year, the Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition, which is also Realme’s first Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 flagship phone with five industry’s first debut:

  1. LPDDR5X ultra-low-power memory,
  2. Pixelworks X7 Solo Graphic Chip,
  3. Truly hidden pressure-sensitive shoulder keys,
  4. Full-link GaN 100-watt flash charging,
  5. N28 free four antennas.

From the naming it can be seen that the machine is still the main appearance design, the Master Exploration Edition model is Realme brand after the return of the appearance of a key building direction, but this time the co-branded designer is no longer Naoto Fukasawa, but the internationally renowned trend designer Jae Jung.

On the front screen, Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition uses a 6.7-inch OLED straight screen from the domestic BOE, with a resolution of 2412×1080p, supporting 120Hz refresh rate, 260Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1000Hz instantaneous sampling rate, a screen-to-body ratio of 94.2%, 1.07 billion color display, 5 million:1 contrast ratio, and 100% P3 color gamut and DC dimming support.

The screen with ultra-narrow bezels is the main focus of Realme’s publicity on the new machine, which eliminates the frame of the screen and bezel bracket and uses a micro-seam connection process to form a perfect transition between the screen and the middle frame directly, making the whole machine’s bezels look narrower and reducing the thickness at the same time.

On the rear lens configuration, GT2 Master Explorer Edition adopts a triple-lens combination, the three lenses are 50MP IMX766 main camera, 1/1.56 inch, equivalent focal length: 23.6mm, aperture: F1.88, supporting OIS optical stabilization; 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, equivalent focal length: 15.0mm, FOV: 150°, aperture. The core processor is equipped with Snapdragon 8+Gen1, which is also the fourth Snapdragon 8+Gen1 flagship phone released so far, and we are all more familiar with this chip, so we won’t dwell on it too much.

In terms of battery, the GT2 Master Explorer Edition has a 5000mAh battery, supports 100W wired fast charging, and comes standard with a 100W Gallium Nitride power adapter, which officially claims that it can be charged to 100% in 25 minutes. With a 5000mAh battery pack, the phone is as thin as 8.17mm and as light as 195g.

In terms of color scheme, there are three options, namely Hard Case – Wilderness, Iceland, and Cangyan, of which Hard Case – Wilderness is a special model created by co-designer Jae Jung, with a classic straight edge + corner guard wrap + metal rivets design, which looks very similar to Hard Case elements indeed, with an environmentally friendly recycled lychee leather rear shell and AG glass for the other two color schemes.
