Just a few days ago, Xiaomi released the Xiaomi 12S Series with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, equipped with up to 120W fast charging technology, basically the first echelon of fast charging at present.

However, Xiaomi is continuing to develop higher power fast charging. In less than a week after the release of the Xiaomi 12S series, it was revealed that a new fast-charging head has entered the network, far beyond the current 120W.

According to the exposure, the new generation of Xiaomi super flash charging adapter has passed 3C certification, the specific model is MDY-13-EU, supporting up to 20V 10A output specifications, that is, 200W superpower.

In addition to the 20V-10A output, Xiaomi MDY-13-EU is also backward compatible with fast charging protocols such as 17V-10A 170W and 20V-6A 120W fast-charging solutions.

The current 120W fast charging speed takes 15 to 20 minutes to fully charge, while 200W fast charging measured around 12 minutes on iQOO 10 Pro’s prototype.

Of course, 200W fast charging for the battery capacity and chip and other full link have higher requirements and need to make special optimization, perhaps to make somebody trade-offs, such as a thicker body, smaller battery, etc…

It is also worth noting that Xiaomi has a chip that can support 200W fast charging, previously when the Surge P1 was released, the official introduced that it supports 200W wired charging technology, 8 minutes to fill the 4000mAh battery.
