Xiaomi M Digital Series and Redmi’s Next Flagship
At this Monday’s Xiaomi launch, in addition to the official launch of the Xiaomi 12S series with the new generation Snapdragon 8+ processor, Xiaomi also brought the Xiaomi 12 Pro with the Dimensity 9000+.
And Xiaomi, which brought both Qualcomm and MediaTek dual flagship platform phones in one launch, has made countless people look forward to whether it will continue a similar strategy in the future.
Today’s morning, the breaking news blogger Digital Chat Station broke the news that the Xiaomi M digital series is currently seeing all powered by SM8550. In addition, the main series of the sub-brand is also testing SM8550, while also planning the MediaTek iteration of the chip, the high version of this series has 2K resolution.

Xiaomi M digital series is a stand-in for the Xiaomi 13 Series, while the sub-brand main series is supposed to be the Redmi K60 Series. SM8550 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 product model.
“Currently Xiaomi 13 Series has three flagships in the test, this time is to see two files suffix SM8550 2K large-screen version, centered single hole upper and lower bezel closed very narrow, R corner feels slightly more rigid than the previous generation, the panel looks good screen to body ratio,” said Digital Chat Station. “Straight/curved both, are centered single hole ultra-narrow bezel design, three camera arrangement on the rear” he further added.
However, in the blurb, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2-equipped machines are already being tested, while the Dimensity version is still being planned. So I’m afraid the two models will not appear at the same time but will be similar to the Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity version, which will be launched at a later stage.
In the previous news that the progress of Snapdragon 8 Gen2 far exceeded expectations, if the above various news is true, Xiaomi 13 series may be released in November.
