Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro Goes Official
On the evening of July 4, Xiaomi held a new product launch conference to officially launch its flagship Xiaomi 12S Series for the second half of the year. There are three models in the series, Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and already explored Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
The Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro can be seen as an upgrade to the previous generation of Xiaomi 12 Series, the appearance of the changes are minor, the rear lens part because of the cooperation with Leica to join the Leica logo, the processor is replaced with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, which is also the world’s first Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 models.
Xiaomi 12S front for a 6.28-inch AMOLED micro-curved screen, suppliers from Huaxing photoelectric, resolution of 2400 × 1080, support P3 color gamut, contrast ratio of 5 million: 1, 12bit color depth, support front, and rear ambient light sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, true color display.
Rear three camera-lens combination, respectively, 50-megapixel IMX707 main camera, 1/1.28-inch large base, F1.9 aperture, support OIS optical stabilization, equivalent 24mm focal length; 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, F2.4 aperture, equivalent 15mm focal length; 5-megapixel telephoto macro lens, the front lens is 32 megapixel.
The battery capacity is 4500mAh, MTW multi-pole ear single cell, supporting 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging. RAM and ROM are enhanced versions of LPDDR5 6400Mbps + new generation UFS 3.1, storage up to 512GB optional.
Other configurations include symmetrical stereo dual speakers, Harman Kardon professional tuning, Hi-Res Audio certification, Hi-Res Audios Wireless certification, X-axis linear motor, multi-function NFC, and support for IR remote control.
The color scheme is white, black, purple and original wild green (vegetal leather), and the price is 3999 yuan for 8GB + 128GB, 4299 yuan for 8GB + 256GB, 4699 yuan for 12GB + 256GB and 5199 yuan for 12GB + 512GB.
The high version of the Xiaomi 12S Pro is largely similar to Xiaomi 12S except for the screen, lens, and battery capacity. Xiaomi 12S Pro front is a 6.73-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED micro-curved screen, the second generation LTPO, 3200 × 1440 resolution, support P3 color gamut, 10bit color depth, 8000000: 1 contrast ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, support Dolby VISION, HDR10+, true color display.
Rear three camera-lens combination, respectively, 50MP IMX707 main camera, 1/1.28 large base, 2.44um four-in-one fusion large pixel, F1.9, support OIS optical stabilization, 7P lens, equivalent 24mm focal length; 50MP ultra wide-angle camera, F2.2, 6P lens, equivalent 14mm focal length; 50MP 2X portrait telephoto lens F1.9, 50mm focal length equivalent. The front-facing lens is 32 megapixels and supports pixel-level skin replacement technology and male texture beauty.
The rear lenses of both phones are professional optical lenses developed by Xiaomi in conjunction with Leica and certified by Leica Summicron, supporting Leica Native Dual Quality, a phone that can shoot in two styles, with the same filters built into Leica’s latest flagship cameras: Leica Natural, Leica Vivid, Leica Monochrome, and Leica Monochrome HC. The four filters do not overly distort the image, but rather fine-tune the color and curve to retain the delicate color transition of the original image.
There are also three Leica Master lens packs reproduced in the camera: 35mm Classic B&W lens (35mm F1.4 for the analog lens), 50mm Classic Spin lens (50mm F0.95 for the analog lens), and 90mm Classic Soft Focus lens (90mm F2.2 for the analog lens).
Equipped with a 4600mAh battery MTW multi-pole ear single cell, supporting 120W surging second charge + 50W wireless second charge and 10W wireless reverse charge. RAM/ROM is the same as Xiaomi 12S.
