Xiaomi 12S Ultra Naming
At the beginning of July, Xiaomi will release Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 powered phones – Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and a camera flagship of the year. The long-awaited camera flagship is supposed to be named Xiaomi 12 Ultra, but recent news suggests different naming.
According to several Weibo bloggers’ exposure to the packaging box, Xiaomi 12 Ultra’s actual name is Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which seems to correspond to the other two models — Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, together with the three model’s Xiaomi 12S Series.
From the images released, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will be available in a variety of colors, and the introduction pamphlet also features the words “The Defining Moment. The new era” as well as the logos of Xiaomi and Leica, signifying the first result of the strategic partnership between Xiaomi and Leica Imaging. This is the first crystallization of the strategic cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica.
It is also worth mentioning that the card is signed by Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Technology, and Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, chairman of the global board of Leica Camera. This may be a hint for Lei Jun’s signature edition.
From previous information, it seems that all three new models are based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1’s new flagship platform, while Xiaomi 12S Pro will also be offered in a Dimensity 9000 version, which is worth waiting for.
According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will feature a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ resolution 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED screen, support for LTPO technology, a built-in 4800mAh battery, and support for 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless flash charging.
