Nothing Phone 1 Real Machine
Nothing Tech officially announced last week that its first smartphone Nothing Phone 1 will be released on Tuesday 12 July, at 20:30 IST in India. Although there is still a month to go before the launch, the Nothing Phone 1 real machine still appeared online today in advance along with official renderings.

From the netizen’s blast chart, the Nothing Phone looks a bit like this year’s Samsung S22 and a couple of years ago’s iPhone X combined, with a straight front screen design and equal bezels all around, centered on a single camera lens, which is the frontal shape of this year’s Samsung S22.

The bezel is a right-angle design, which is the design of the iPhone in the last two years, returning to the iPhone 4 era of the year, the rear vertical dual camera lens, which is the shape of the iPhone X, is also considered to have created the trend of the vertical lens.
The video shows Nothing Phone 1 being placed inside a plexiglass cover, and while the front of the phone is still not visible, the video shows certain areas of the back of the phone glowing, specifically the ring around the camera module and some components on the top and bottom. Which may trigger by incoming notifications and calls.
In terms of configuration, it is said to be equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor, 20MP front, 64M main camera + 12M super wide-angle at the back, 4500mAh battery, 30W fast charging support, and Android 12 pre-installed.
Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, holds high confidence in the user interface aspect of the phone, saying that Nothing Phone 1 will be a replacement for Apple iPhone. Pre-installed with NothingOS, Nothing’s customized Android lite operating system, retaining Google Android’s best features, providing a smooth experience and a personalized visual interface.
