iPhone 14 Series Comparison
In September 2021, Apple launched iPhone 13 Series smartphone, and now less than 3 months are left for the next September – month for iPhone 14 Series launch.
At the launch, Apple will introduce a new front design for iPhone 14 Pro models, replacing Mini with 14 Max, bigger rear camera modules, and upgrading the front camera.
Besides these changes, how exactly are iPhone 14 Series models differentiated, and what is common in all four models, TrendForce shared iPhone 14 Series comparison chart in a recent report (Supposing to be based on current rumors).
According to the coverage, all four iPhone 14 models to be launched this year will be equipped with 6GB of RAM, but have a difference in performance. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be upgraded to a faster, more power-efficient type of memory – LPDDR5, while the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will pack older LPDDR4X.
Compared with iPhone 13 Series model, iPhone 13 and iPhone Mini use 4GB LPDDR4X, while the 13 Pro and 13 Pro come with 6GB 4GB LPDDR4X RAM. On the other hand, the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X, while the Pro model upgrades to 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The report is almost identical to the information shared by Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple industry chain analyst at Tianfeng Securities, who also revealed that all four iPhone 14 models will be equipped with 6GB of RAM and the iPhone 14 Pro model will be upgraded to LPDDR5.
Besides the RAM, iPhone 14 Pro model’s base storage will start from 256GB, instead of 128GB on iPhone 13 Pro model. The 14 and 14 Max will have 128GB/256GB/512GB storage and the pro will have 256GB/512GB/1TB memory versions.
In addition, to have a common 12-megapixel front lens for the whole line-up, iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will have another two big upgrades: a new 48-megapixel rear camera and the latest Apple A16 Bionic processor. On other hand, iPhone 14 and 14 Max will stick with last year’s A15 Bionic processor.
In terms of display, iPhone 14 Max and 14 Pro Max will pack a 6.7-inches display, while iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 will have a 6.1-inches display size. The other difference is the front display cut-out, the standard model will continue notch cut-out, while the Pro model will introduce a pill + punch-hole cut-out design.
