Snapdragon Night 2022 Scheduled
Qualcomm China announced this morning that Snapdragon Night 2022 will be held on May 20, unveiling the new Snapdragon mobile platform and showcasing new products, experiences, and collaborations.
Not surprisingly, the new Snapdragon mobile platform mentioned above corresponds to Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus, and the rumored 4nm build of Snapdragon 7 Gen1 is expected to be released at the same time.
The news shows that Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus is codenamed SM8475, changed to TSMC 4nm process to build, the CPU architecture core basically did not change, only to improve the frequency, while the GPU small upgrade.
The most important thing is that after all this time, it is known that the energy efficiency ratio of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus has been improved and is better than Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
Predictably, there will be a large number of new flagships officially announced on Snapdragon Night on May 20, such as the long-rumored Xiaomi 12 Ultra, but the first launch does not seem to be Xiaomi, but the new Motorola machine that has been filed.
As for the Snapdragon 7 Gen1, it is said that the OPPO Reno 8 series will be equipped with it, and it has been officially announced that it will be released on May 23, in addition to the news that the Xiaomi Civi 2 will also be equipped with this new mid-range platform.
