Sony Xperia 1 Mark 4 Official Now
On the afternoon of May 11, Sony held a new product launch conference, officially bringing its new flagship Xperia 1 IV (Xperia 1 Mark 4) with a continuous optical zoom lens.
The front of the machine uses a 6.5-inch 3840 × 1644p resolution HDR OLED screen, 21:9 ratio, 50% increase in screen brightness, frontal no-hole design, support for 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, as well as dynamic blur suppression technology, which is also a rare 4K resolution screen in the cell phone industry.

In the rear triple camera-lens combination, all three lenses are 12MP including a 1/1.7-inch main camera with OIS + 1/2.5-inch autofocus ultra-wide-angle + 1/3.5-inch telephoto with OIS (85-125mm equivalent optical zoom). All three lenses are provided by Zeiss and covered with T* coating certification, there is also a ToF lens.


The telephoto lens on Sony Xperia 1 Mark 4 is Sony’s new continuous optical zoom lens. Bringing continuous optical zoom range from 85mm to 125mm, giving it a 3.5 to 5 times the optical zoom range. On other hand, Xperia 1 Mark 3 has only two-step focal lengths of 70mm and 105mm.


All three lenses can shoot 4K 120FPS video, support real-time eye focus, FlawlessEye, live object tracking, etc. An RGB IR sensor on the back feeds the AI algorithm that controls the camera’s white balance.

Xperia 1 Mark 4’s front lens is also upgraded from 8MP to a new 12MP 1/2.9-inch ExmorRS sensor supporting 4K videos, and HDR videos at 30fps. Unfortunately, the front lens does not support autofocus.
The core processor is the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and is complemented by the Adreno 730 GPU, equipped with a 12GB + 512G storage combination and support for SD card expansion up to 1TB.
The battery capacity is 5000mAh, supports 30W fast charging, which can charge up to 50% in half an hour, and wireless fast charging, and does not come with a charging head and data cable.

Support IPX5/IPX6 waterproof and IP6X dustproof. The unlock method is a side-mounted fingerprint, a 3.5mm headphone jack is retained, full-stage stereo speakers, black, white, and purple are available, and the system running is Android 12. Sony Xperia 1 IV is priced at €1,400/£1,300/$1,600 (about 1,21,000 INR).
