ZTE Axon40 Pro and Axon40 Ultra
On the afternoon of May 9, ZTE held a new product launch conference, officially releasing the new flagship ZTE Axon40 series that has been in the preview for many days. This Axon40 series has two models, Axon40 Pro and Axon40 Ultra.

ZTE Axon40 Ultra
The top version Axon40 Ultra has a 6.8-inch OLED curved screen on the front with a resolution of 2480×1116, a non-perforated under-screen lens design, and a side bezel with a vertical projection distance of only 0.6mm, giving users a visual borderless immersive experience.
The full screen supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, and the screen covers a 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut with a 10bit color depth to meet the color needs of all digital fields.
Regarding the under-screen lens, ZTE says the Ultra brings a new third-generation under-screen camera technology. With the new 400PPI flexible under-screen camera, full-screen blue diamond arrangement, independent pixel driver, distributed transparent circuitry, UDC Pro screen display chip, equivalent 2.24μm large pixel, and front camera Spiritual Transparency Algorithm 3.0, the under-screen camera technology has been strongly upgraded.
Rear triple main camera lens combination, the three lenses are 64 megapixel’s custom IMX787 super wide-angle main camera, 64 megapixel’s custom IMX787 super humanities main camera, 64 megapixel’s
periscope telephoto main camera.
On the ultra-wide-angle and ultra humanities two main cameras, ZTE Axon40 Ultra custom dual Sony IMX787 sensors, support all-pixel omnidirectional focusing, focusing speed and reliability are greatly improved, can detect the data of all directions up and down, left and right.
The ultra-humanistic main camera uses a 35mm equivalent focal length, 7P lens, and OIS optical stabilization to take full advantage of humanistic photography. Super wide-angle main camera with ultra-low distortion, support for the wide-angle macro duo, and AF autofocus. Periscopic telephoto main camera with excellent performance of basic optical zoom, with 1/2-inch large base and OIS optical stabilization.
The core processor is the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, additionally equipped with UFS3.1, LPDDR5 and Wi-Fi6 enhanced. The new machine is 8.41mm thick and weighs 204g, with a metal mid-frame of just 1.5mm, and two color schemes available.

ZTE Axon40 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, 6.67-inch 2400 × 1080p OLED dual-curved screen, supports 60-144Hz refresh rate intelligent adjustment, 360Hz touch sampling rate, peak 1000niits brightness, 100% DCI-P3, 10bit color depth, equipped with DTS audio dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, dual speakers, supports NFC support.
The ZTE Axon40 Pro is simply positioned as ZTE’s first 108-megapixel phone with a classic dual-ring design, “double curve” sides, f1.89 aperture for the main camera, a large 1/1.52-inch sensor, 2.1μm equivalent pixels, 8MP, 120° ultra-wide angle, 2MP 4cm macro camera, and a 2MP separate depth-of-field camera, with a 16MP front-facing lens.
In addition, ZTE Axon40 Pro is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supports 66W fast charging, is 8.46mm thick, weighs 199g, and comes in Phantom Night Black, Crystal Mist Blue, and Starlight Orange colors.
