iPhone 14 Series Front Camera And Metal Mold Exposure
The iPhone’s front camera has been not upgraded for a long time. Many users expect to see Apple do so on the upcoming iPhone 14 Series. Regarding the concern, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo added a note about iPhone 14 Series front camera.
Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple may upgrade the front-facing cameras on all four of its iPhone 14 models to provide a better shallow depth of field for selfies and video calls. Apple is expected to upgrade the front cameras on its iPhone 14 models to autofocus (AF) from fixed focus with an aperture of about f/1.9, which would be a step up from the f/2.2 aperture on the iPhone 13 series.
The front camera of four new iPhone 14 models in 2H22 would likely upgrade to AF (autofocus) & about f/1.9 aperture (vs. iPhone 13’s FF (fixed-focus) and f/2.2).
AF support and a lower f-number can provide a better shallow depth-of-field effect for selfie/portrait mode. In addition, AF can also enhance the focus effect for FaceTime/video call/live streaming.
Said Ming-Chi Kuo
Autofocus and a lower aperture number support will provide a better shallow depth of field for portrait mode and selfies. In addition, this can also improve the quality of focus for FaceTime or video calls and live streaming.
It is reported that iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with an upgraded rear camera system with a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens that supports up to 8K video recording.

Recently, a Weibo blogger also unveiled the iPhone 14 series metal template map, which shows in detail the four models of the iPhone 14 series planning. According to the picture, the iPhone 14 series, like the previous rumors, completely abandoned the small-screen mini version and instead added a large-screen version for the standard version.
The four models are iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro MAX, the screen is unified for 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches two sizes, and the two series have a large and a small two sizes to choose from.
In terms of the shape, the back design of the iPhone 14 series is unchanged compared to its predecessor, with the standard version still having a diagonal dual-camera scheme and the Pro version having a triple camera scheme.
