Sony New IMX989 Exposure
Earlier we have reported that Sony is working on two flagship series of smartphone camera sensors – Sony IMX8 and IMX9 Series. Among them IMX866 we have already detailed. Today, more information on IMX9 Series sensors surfaced.
Today, Digital Chat Station posted that the Sony IMX9 series of 50-megapixel new sensor will be launched, maybe named IMX989, and has a super bottom sensors size close to 1-inch, this sensor will be the annual flagship from Sony.
Xiaomi will generally debut Sony’s new camera sensor. The blogger previously hinted that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will debut at the end of Q2, which is roughly a June release. The Xiaomi MIX Fold2 folding screen phone is also expected to be released at the same time as the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, and imaging will remain the focus of both models.
Many people believe that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to carry a super large bottom sensor, the news shows that the phone’s rear camera module with an exaggerated Oreo-shaped design, and the entire camera area occupies nearly half of the back area, built-in 3 lenses. The blogger also previously said that the Xiaomi phone will be on the IMX9 series and IMX8 series.
