MediaTek Dimensity 8000-Max Performance
Today, OPPO announced the world premiere of the OPPO K10 series MediaTek Dimensity 8000-MAX chip, equipped with a 120Hz screen and X-axis linear motor, and unveiled its product appearance.
Following the official announcement, Digital Chat Station pointed out that the Dimensity 8000-MAX is a custom chipset built using MediaTek’s open architecture. The CPU frequency is 0.1GHz lower than Dimensity 8100, and the performance gap is very small, power consumption also has a small advantage, if you count the energy efficiency ratio, the Dimensity 8000-MAX chipset surpasses Dimensity 8100.

Compared to the Snapdragon 870, the advantage of the Dimensity 8000-MAX is more obvious. Digital Chat Station points out that the Dimensity 8000 series is the absolute frontrunner in the mid-range price segment this year.
As you can see from the GeekBench 5 score, the gap between the Dimensity 8000-MAX and the Dimensity 8100 is very small, with a single-core score of 927 (Dimensity 8100 = 957 points) and a multi-core score of 3793 (Dimensity 8100 = 3831 points), with even better power control than the Snapdragon 870.

The Dimensity 8000-MAX is based on TSMC’s 5nm process and consists of four Cortex A78 cores + four Cortex A55 cores, with a core frequency of 2.75GHz, the core frequency of Dimensity 8100 is 2.85GHz. This chip is firstly equipped by OPPO K10 Standard Edition, which will be officially released on April 24.
