Redmi’s SM8475 Powered Phone
The newest Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, while the proper generation of the Redmi K50 series switched to a MediaTek Dimensity processor.
Digital Chat Station in his latest claim hinted that Redmi has a new machine with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus (SM8475) flagship processor is on the way, a small iteration of the Redmi K50 series.
Considering that Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus is Qualcomm’s main flagship Soc for the second half of the year, this means that the Redmi Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus flagship will be launched in the second half of the year. This phone could be the successor to the Redmi K50 Pro, possibly to be named Redmi K50 Pro+.
Sources in the supply chain have revealed that the phone powered by Android’s flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus will be available as early as June and as late as July. The first devices powered with will be launched in China, but no names have been revealed yet.
