Visionox LTPS-TFT Display
Yesterday, Visionox officially announced the world’s first low-frequency LTPS-TFT low-power display solution which can support a minimum 30Hz refresh rate for mobile AMOLED displays, and a minimum 1Hz refresh rate for smart wearable’ Always On Display (AoD).
This is a TFT-level low-power solution for all models, the low-frequency LTPS technology into the original circuit architecture, so that the display meets the high refresh rate at the same time, but also has a low refresh rate brought about by the low-power performance.
The solution is based on the LTPS-TFT backplane innovation technology, which enables the display to maintain a flicker-free display effect under 30Hz/1Hz low refresh rate, low grayscale, and low brightness scenarios.
Visionox LTPS-TFT reduces power consumption by approximately 25% when applied to 1Hz AoD for LTPS smart wearable displays and by more than 10% when applied to 30Hz for LTPS cell phone displays, according to Visionox.
Visionox’s existing LTPS-TFT AMOLED production lines in Kunshan, Gu’an, and Hefei can be adapted to full capacity without the need to upgrade production lines, purchase equipment, or significantly increase production processes, thus incurring no additional costs.
