Recently a new model number V2170A from Vivo obtained 3C certification. Thus the new machine is said to belong to the Vivo NEX series, it has a 7-inch large screen, equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 flagship processor.

The report from WHYLAB claims that Vivo X Note passed the national quality certification, model V2170A, which is the previously expected NEX 5, the new machine supports up to 80W fast charging.

At the same time, WHYLAB also highlighted some of the core specifications of the Vivo X Note. Besides the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, it will pack a 7-inches large OLED with a 2K resolution screen and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is said to be using Samsung E5 light-emitting material.

In terms of camera combination, Vivo X Note will feature a quad-camera set-up of 50 megapixel’s S5KGN1 + 48 megapixel’s IMX598 + 12 megapixel’s IMX663 + 8 megapixel’s OV08A10 supporting 5x. The device packs a 5000mAh battery, 9.2mm thick and weighing 221g.

It is worth noting that this is Vivo renewed the NEX series product line after 2 years after the first generation of Vivo NEX created the pop-up full-screen era on June 12, 2018, which led to a wave of industry trends.

The machine through the pop-up mechanical structure, clever camera is hidden inside the body, through the photo APP control lift enabled, to achieve a near true full-screen visual effect. This solution has been well received in the market, and many brands have followed up with pop-up full-screen after NEX.

After the first generation of vivo NEX, vivo NEX 3, and the world’s first waterfall screen, the screen-to-body ratio reached a new high of 99.6%, the highest screen-to-body ratio of flagship phones at the time.

Now the new Vivo NEX series will be released soon and maybe named Vivo NEX 5 or X Note. Unlike Vivo NEX and NEX 3, Vivo NEX 5 or Vivo X Note will return to the mainstream flagship market with the punch-hole display.
