Qualcomm Wants TSMC to deliver 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus Early and Vivo Supercup Flagship

Last December, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 was released as promised, and now several new machines have been mounted on the market for sale, succeeding Snapdragon 888 as of this year’s flagship mobile platform.

The more controversial issue at the time was that Snapdragon 8 Gen1 was still a Samsung OEM, and given the unsatisfactory performance of Snapdragon 888, many users had the same doubts about Snapdragon 8 Gen1.

But the good thing is, late last year there were rumors of cooperation between Qualcomm and TSMC, the latter is said to OEM model SM8475 Snapdragon processor, according to the model number presumably should be Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus, that is, suffix Plus, also Qualcomm’s habit of the past two years.

According to an industry insider, Qualcomm wants TSMC to deliver 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus early to replace the current Snapdragon 8 Gen1. WinFuture also mentioned the same SoC while revealing Motorola Frontier 22 characteristics.

So it seems there is indeed a TSMC OEM Snapdragon 8 Gen1, which is expected to have a higher CPU/GPU frequency and be built using TSMC’s 4nm process and is expected to debut in the second half of the year.
