The most recent and important leaks come once again through Evan Blass revealing that Samsung will provide 4 Android versions and 5 years of security patch updates. This is a notable improvement in the software update policy for its flagship phones.
Samsung will provide 4 Android versions and 5 years of security patches to these devices:
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Series
- Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Series
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3
This means that the Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy Tab S8 Series, and Galaxy S21 FE, which were all running Android 12 at launch, will get Android 16. The Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3 will receive Android 15.
