MediaTek Kompanio 1380
MediaTek’s Kompanio series of processors for Chromebook notebooks ushered in the new Kompanio 1380 today, and Acer synchronized the debut of Chromebook Spin 513, other products are expected soon or later.
MediaTek said that the Kompanio series platform has been widely adopted by customers to create popular Chromebook laptops and tablet devices. The Kompanio 1380 provides users with an excellent mobile computing experience and long battery life, while also allowing for a slimmer and lighter device size.
MediaTek Kompanio 1380 using a 6nm process, integrated eight-core CPU, including four 3.0GHz A78, along with a five-core Mali-G57 GPU, and memory support for quad-channel LPDDR4X-2133.
The integrated APU 3.0 AI engine accelerates photo and video applications and extends battery life. Multimedia, support 4K60 HDR display, can output dual 4K60, or one 4K60 plus two 4K30; support AV1 video hardware decoding, and a separate audio DSP, support ultra-low-power voice wake up. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.
