Redmi K50 Release Schedule
Qualcomm and MediaTek’s latest flagship processors have been released, both are using the most advanced 4nm process, performance and power consumption have improved by leaps and bounds, so the industry is also saying that the next will be MediaTek’s real YES moment.
According to the news brought by Digital Chat Station, a flagship model of next year’s generation will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 platform, so don’t be surprised, because this chip has better industry reviews than Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
The biggest possibility for this phone is the Redmi K50 series, judging from the user discussions in the comments section. On the 16th of this month, MediaTek will hold the Dimensity 9000 strategy conference, and Redmi’s general manager Lu Weibing is expected to be there to make some official announcements about the new machine.
In terms of specifications, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is built with Samsung’s 4nm process, and the CPU part continues the 1+3+4 architecture, consisting of a 3GHz mega-core Cortex-X2 and three 2.5GHz performance cores and four 1.8GHz energy-efficient cores.
The Dimensity 9000 uses TSMC’s 4nm process and tri-cluster architecture, consisting of a 3.05GHz Cortex-X2 mega-core, three 2.85GHz Cortex-A710 large cores, and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A510 small cores.
The two processors are currently leaked on the Internet related to running scores, but also exceeded the 1 million mark, so in terms of experience can be said to be comparable, and MediaTek and consistent price advantage, as long as the final terminal price is reasonable, it may turn around.
Another reveal mentioned the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will be available in the middle of this month, and the new Dimensity 9000 will now need to wait until February next year. The blogger also said that the OPPO Find X5 series is expected to wait until after the Spring Festival, and the Redmi K50 series is tentatively scheduled to debut at the end of February.
The Redmi K50 series will have four models, codenamed I10, I10a, I11, and I11r. The I10 model will be equipped with the Dimensity 9000 processor, while the I10a model will have the Snapdragon 870 processor. Redmi’s Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000 are not as fast as the new Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Gen1, although they both come with MIUI 13 pre-installed.
