Sony Mobile Game Controller Patent
Sony Interactive Entertainment seems to be designed specifically for mobile games PlayStation controller, has recently applied for a patent. According to the patent, the handle design, the user can tilt the shaft, and detect the direction of tilt and the amount of tilt of the shaft, that is, no gyroscope.
The patent, issued this week by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Japanese division, describes a system for playing games on a device that combines two-controller handles. The grip is similar to the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 grip, rather than the PlayStation 5′s newer DualSense, and is described as “a left grip portion and a right grip portion held by the user’s left and right hands.”
Currently, the controller is only a patent application, the actual product is unknown. If achieved, the handle is expected to be used in combination with smartphones, through remote play, or through the cloud to play PlayStation games.
